Responsibilities This is an opportunity to drive key strategic priorities for the innovative and award-winning Ameriprise Financial brand. The Advertising and Brand manager will lead day-to-day execution and implementation of high-profile B2B initiatives for the Columbia Management brand and the advisor recruitment campaign, as well as Ameriprise’s consumer advertising. These efforts will help us achieve our goal of becoming the most talked about; most referred financial services brand experience.
Responsibilities: - Help drive planning and execution of recruitment and trade advertising campaigns targeting financial advisors and intermediaries. - Lead print and online advertising production for trade brands. Write concise creative briefs to guide creative development. - Analyze results and insights to drive creative optimizations. - Build relationships across multiple business partners including interactive marketing, corporate communications, advisor communications and product marketing. - Manage agency relationship(s) to foster productive partnerships and collaboration. - Assist in tracking program metrics to achieve campaign goals. - Manage overall project plans and timelines for multiple work streams. - Track and reconcile project deliverables against deadlines and budgets. - Manage meeting calendars including scheduling, distribution of agendas and follow up notes when needed. - Leverage research and competitive audits of category and landscape to inform best practices. - Support review and approval process of advertising creative, ensuring adherence to brand, legal, compliance and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications - Knowledge of and background in advertising and/or marketing, with focus on financial services. - Experience in asset management and/or mutual funds marketing and familiarity with trade and franchise business models are essential. - At least 5 years of experience in online and print advertising production. Knowledge of media planning highly desired. - Strong project management and follow-up skills are required. - Excellent relationship management skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment. - Solid analytical skills and the ability to turn research and results into insights and actions. - Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable in presenting to team and leaders. -Some domestic travel required. -Series 7 license required, or ability to obtain in 150 days from date of hire.
